چکیده:

Acetylhydrazone was prepared from the condensation reaction of acetylhydrazine with formaldehyde using acetic acid catalyst in methanolic medium. The reaction kinetic was studied in pH range of 4.2-7 and temperature range of 25-55 °C. The rate of the reaction was first order with respect to acetylhydrazine, formaldehyde and acetic acid. Moreover, a mechanism was proposed on the basis of experimental results and similar reactions.
