چکیده:

In this paper, the optimum design of a transformer from the point of view of volume, weight, cost, and losses is considered.Each of these four parameters by itself is a function of primary design variables such as maximum flux density, current density, and core reluctance. Next, a new method of optimization is introduced which uses computer linear programming techniques for relative minimization of the four major optimum design parameters. A method of using less computer memory and less computer time is also presented.
