چکیده:

Bricking building is a major and important building type in urban area in China, certainly, Seismic disaster Mitigation programs lays its focus on improving Aseismic capacities of brick building. One popular method to predict earthquake of brick building in China is presented in this paper. The method is based on the statistical analysis of earthquake damages characteristics in past earthquakes taken in China. At first, the brick building is classified into many sub-categories according to their story, usage, built age, quality and structural pattern etc. and then earthquake damages probability of brick building of every category can be estimated by use of the vulnerability matrix got from earthquake survey, both group and individual prediction of brick building can be done. It has been proved in experiment that the Aseismic capacity of the important individual building can be accurately assessed according to this method. Basic procedure of predicting the earthquake damage of brick building is simply introduced.
