چکیده:

A modified Patel-Teja (MPT) cubic equation of state is presented by incorporating a new thermodynamically consistent alpha function in attractive part of the EOS. The MPT EOS is used to correlation of vapor pressure of a large number of pure compounds including heavy hydrocarbons and is adopted for prediction of liquid density, vapor volume and enthalpy of vaporization of the pure compounds. Moreover, predictions of the phase diagram of three synthetic natural gas (SNG) mixtures are carried out by the new MPT EOS. The results demonstrate that the modified PT EOS is superior to the original one for phase equilibrium calculations.
