چکیده:

The main purpose of this paper is to develop an approach for recognition of hand drawn geometric shapes that would be tolerant of the noise come from thevariations of how the symbols are drawn. To reach this goal the concept of Fuzzy Grammar has been used to overcome the inherent ambiguity of the nature of the noise in the shapes sketched by human hands, so that it could classify shapes into categories they most appealto belong. The results show that the average recognitionrate achieved for the three categories is 91.6%.
