چکیده:

In this paper, a novel microfabrication technique for prototyping of a synthetic biomimetic adhesive micro/nanomechanism is devised. First, various creatures with adhesion capability are investigated and a simplified model of natural adhesive attachment systems is introduced. This model is analyzed and its effective parameters are determined. Using this analysis, we developed our novel microfabrication technique. In order to fabricate this adhesive pad, an electrochemical etching system is developed. The etching system has been used to produce a microstructured mold for nanocasting of final structure. This novel adhesive pad has been tested under different conditions and its adhesion capability is revealed.
