چکیده:

Wooden poles are extensively used for distribution lines. Their performance is adversely affected by atomspheric and weather conditions. This paper deals with the problem of the burning of wood poles in the coastal high humidity zones, such as in the GCC states. The possible mechanism for wood pole burning has been explained and remedial measures have been suggested.
