چکیده:

The adsorption characteristics of nickel onto expanded perlite from aqueous solution have been investigated with respect to changes in pH of solution, adsorbent dosage and contact time. The Freundlich isotherm model fitted the equilibrium data better than Langmuir isotherm model. The capacity of EP was found to be 1.96 (mg/g) for Ni (II) adsorption. Experimental data are also evaluated in terms of kinetic characteristics of adsorption and it was found that adsorption process for these metal ions follows well pseudo-second-order kinetics.
