CO2 adsorption on a multi-walled carbon nanotube sample (MWCNTs), at 298 K and pressures ranging from 300 to 1200 (mbar) has been investigated experimentally, using a vacuum adsorption apparatus, in order to get more information about the applicability of MWCNTs for flue gas cleaning. The adsorption data were fitted to two of the most widely-used isotherm models, namely, Freundlich and Sips, which are applied to heterogeneous adsorption systems. The Sips model was found to give better fit for the adsorption of carbon dioxide on the MWCNT sample.
