In this paper the solution to accurate power system frequency estimation is presented. Analysis and computational aspects of two different techniques is described. The first method is based on signal zero crossing, which could be highly affected by presence of noise and distortion. The second method is an iterative digital signal-processing algorithm, which is more accurate. To demonstrate the accuracy of this technique several computer simulation test results are presented in the paper as well.
