Nowadays with the prevalence of web usage, website is changing from a former simple cyber entity to one of the main gateways of the companies and firms. Websites as some facilitators for linking the companies and organizations world wide play the significant role of a catalyst for accelerating the globalization trend in various countries. Considering such integrality for website, many researchers have worked on this field of study in order to parameterize and so measure its performance and quality. In respect to such a strong trend, in this paper we discuss the B2C commercial website as a gateway for companies reaching their customers, suppliers, competitors and partners world wide. In this regard, we analyze the commercial website and its various building blocks along with the various influential factors in each pillar of a commercial website. As the main contribution of our paper, we propose a framework for analyzing and evaluating a commercial website and discuss and define its various elements. Finally we conclude our discussion by bringing some real examples for the various elements of our proposed framework.
