چکیده:

This paper presents a wavelet-based approach for the lossless compression of raw projection data from CT scanners. An analysis of the rayv projection dqta reveals significantty high redundancy related to the reconstructed tomography images. lile first divide the raw projection data into dffirent segments and then predict each segment of the transformed raw projection data from its corresponding IB0 degrees segment. The prediction errors can be encoded more fficiently and result in significantly reduces of bit-rate for saving raw projection data The results on real cases demonstrate the performanc e of otr propos ed appro ach.
