In the current clutlered atmosphere e-business , assessment and alignment of the operational activities with a chosen strategy is crucial for survival and progress in competitive markets . Strategy assessment includes both the continual assessment of EC metrics and the periodic formal evaluation of progress toward the organization s strategic goals. Based on results , corrective actions are taken and if necessary the strategy is reformulated The analysis of gaps between the desired and current situations in an e-business platform no matter public or private provides insight for decision – makers to find the potential areas of improvement.
