چکیده:

In this paper, the principles underlying the operation thermal plasma for waste treatment is recalled and its technological applications are discussed. Through a literature review, the feasibility thermal plasma for waste treatment is proven and the advantages it can offer for energy and cost savings are underscored, in addition this is a useful method to reduce the environmental pollutions. First the basic fundamental of thermal plasma and applications for waste treatment described and comparison of plasma and conventional waste destruction studied. The major methods of thermal plasma for waste treatment that were studied are solid waste treatment, plasma gasification processes of waste and synthesis gas cleaning island. At the end of this paper industrial technologies of plasma waste treatment are illustrated.
