چکیده:

This paper, presents a software for automatic generation and simulation of CNC turning program. In the designed software, at first, a program written in AutoLISP, gets primary information and reads the profile drawing of the workpiece. Then, the program determines the tool motion paths. And then, it prints necessary data for regulating the simulation and the CNC turning codes, in two separate text files. In the next step, the CNC simulator program, gets input data from the first file, and regulates the primary graphical environment. At the end, this program simulates the CNC turning program existing in the second file. This software can be used in industry and can reduce the programming and production time and cost and also, the need for skillful CNC programmers. The efficiency of this software is tested by using it on several practical examples.
