One of the important subjects of high voltage engineering is the calculation of electric fields in electrical equipments. Generally the calculation of electric field is based upon the solution of Laplace and Poisson equations. There are different methods to solve the above equations. The most common method is the numerical method. In this paper we introduce a software that has good graphical representation ability. By using finite diffrence method it can calculate the potential and electric field in equipments that can be modelled in two dimentional system and thier weak
insulation points will be located. In this software, by using special method in solving the equations, computer utilized memory is minimized and calculation speed is maximized.
