چکیده:

Near field SH-wave accelerograms from the Iranian strong ground motion are analyzed for the 1978 Tabas earthquake, the 1994 Zanjiran earthquake, the 1997 Ardebil earthquake and the 1999 Karehbas earthquake to estimate the average strike, dip and slip of their respective causative rupture planes. The method of data inversion is based on a point source representation and non-linear least square formulation. The estimated fault plane parameters for these earthquakes are comparable to other studies based on inversion of far field data.
