چکیده:

This paper presents results from computer simulations for industrial olefin furnace. The furnaces include a gas fired ethylene process heater. The systems have been modeled using a CFD-based, combustion flow model. The modeled systems are highly complex and thus model validation is typically in the form of agreement with qualitative, historical knowledge from plant personnel. Where available, comparisons with quantitative field data are included. Overall, the models are shown to have good agreement with qualitative trends and acceptable agreement with quantitative data.
