چکیده:

Today in most chemical industries the main part of energy consumption relates to separation and
purification processes. So it seems necessary to do some task as to promote traditional process and to
develop new technologies regarding decreasing the consumption of energy in this part of industry. As to
separation mechanisms in which the composition of compounds have similar features (such as identical
boiling point), higher degree of separation and lower consumption of energy will cause to higher economic
values. Today, using membrane systems, specially stable ones, for example mineral membranes such as
zeolite membrane, are the key material to attain more economic expenses through difficult operational
situations (high temperature and pressure) in separation processes. Zeolites are those crystalline oxides
which have such unique roles in agriculture, animal husbandry, catalyst, separation, etc. This research
investigates method of producing zeolite membrane, its mechanism and parameters influencing separation,
characteristics of permeability and selectivity of Na zeolite membrane.
