چکیده:

The flooding behavior of a 76.2 mm diameter pilot plant pulsed packed column has been investigated for two different liquid-liquid systems in with and without mass transfer conditions. The effects of pulsation intensity, interfacial tension and solute concentration on flooding velocity and holdup at flooding point were investigated and a new empirical correlation for maximum throughout is derived in terms of operating variables and physical properties of the liquid systems.
