چکیده:

Since the introduction of solvent-free e-coat systems around the world, microbiological contamination of those systems now occurs with more frequency, as many of the solvents eliminated also provided antimicrobial properties to the formulations. In this research work, by considering environmentally friendly rules chitosan biopolymer solution in three different acid, lactic, formic and acetic were used in this system. Therefore, the effect of chitosan solvent on it’s behavior in electrodeposition bath was investigated and the appearance of deposited films was analyzed by optical microscopy. Afterward, the chitosan solution in lactic acid was found to be optimum solvent for chitosan as an additive and has minimum destruction effect on final electrodeposited film.
