چکیده:

Ti02 nanoparticle coatings possess good thermal and electrical properties and they are more resistant to oxidation. corrosion, erosion and wear in high temperature environments where it is a very important factor in the applications, such as pipeline, casting and auto industrial. In this present investigation, a uniform and Ti<h nanoparticle coating on steels has been prepared using Sol- Gel method. The coating was deposited on a mild steel substrate by a dip coating technique. The morphology and structure of the coating were analyzed using SEM and X-ray di:ffiaction. The anticorrosion performances of the coating have been evaluated by the use of the electrochemical technique. It is worthy to note that the film uniformity was retained in high temperature; no crack and flaking off from the substrates
were observed. The tafel polarization measurements provide an explanation to the increased resistance ofTi<h nanoparticle coated mild steel against corrosion.
