The monotonic steady-state deformation and recovery behavior of a standard pure bitumen, using Dynamic Shear Rheometer (DSR) is investigated . Constant stress creep and creep recovery tests at 10C and 20C over a range of stress levels have been conducted. The steady-state deformation behavior of the bitumen is found to be linear at low stress levels and non-linear power law creep at high stress levels. The records strain of the bitumen is found to increase with increasing the total strain before unloading up to a level after which the recovered strain flattens to a constant value. It is also found that the recovered strain increases with increasing stress level.
