چکیده:

In this paper a two-stage method is proposed for damage detection via designing an optimization problem to obtain the minimum difference between the numerical andexperimental variables. In order to reduce the search space, the proposed method is divided in to two parts. At the first, the damage elements have been determined by usingthe theory of pseudo residual force vector derive from residual force method, and then thegravitational search algorithm is applied to determine the damage extent. Damage detection is conducted for two story frame to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method. The results have shown that the methodology can reliably assess damages using noisy measurement and incomplete data.
