چکیده:

In the past few years, several methods have been presented in the literature for ac-dc load flow calculation. Among them two are mostlypopular, namely" Sequential" and " Unified(Simultaneous)"approaches. the paper compares these two methods and emphasises on the merits and demerits of both of them . It then offers a solution approach which is developed for removing the disadvantages of both methods while saving the advantages of both By decoupling ac and dc equations,the method solves dc equations completely decoupled from the ac ones.Employing such a method causes fast convergence and accurate results for the dc equations and so provides an efficient algorithm for ac-dc Load flow problems.
