چکیده:

Demand Side management (DSM) is a part of the Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) and it is one of the tools that used by planners for the development of electricity sector. The main reason of these (DSM) programs is to achieve more cost-effective supply system to the end users and to reduce growth in energy demand by improving the efficiency in the usage of electricity. The paper will take into consideration the examination of the demand forecast and specific usage of the electricity and the detailed analysis of the following: •Typical Daily Load curve •Electrical consumption during peak period •Specific consumption This paper represents the (DSM) programs applicable for Jordan market and aims at the following: •To provide the electricity serves at the best lowest cost to customer. •To reduce environmental impacts by reducing atmospheric pollution, reducing climatic change linked to the greenhouse effect. •To enhance social and economic benefits The target of this case study is to choose the best option resulted from the evaluation of the potential and profitability from the point view of technical and economical aspects.
