چکیده:

transition is a structure that forms a link in the channels constructed for irrigation and power- generation purposes. The minimum head loss design will increase the life of the transition structure. In this study, a computer program was performed in which knowing the upstream properties and discharge, the hydraulic properties in any section is calculated and graphically shown. The results are compared with other works in the literature. The variation of length, velocities, and Froude Number with respect to degree of divergence,?, is determined and analyzed economically. The computer program can determine the state of the flow, whether the flow remains supercritical throughout the channel or in a sub reach the flow regime will be changed into subcritical.
