In this article, the electric potential is determined in the machining gap of the Electrochemical machining process. The electric potential of each node is obtained which is into the machining gap, with regards to the boundary conditions in order to solve the Laplace equation by the finite element method (FEM) and the Equipotential lines are drawn. By these potential points a proper shape for tools is determined and the process is simulated. It was applied ECMSTD3 software for simulation which was designed by MATLAB software and has high ability and low error.
