چکیده:

Dissolution of borax n water was studied in aDTB dissolver and a general model was developed to predict the solution concentration profile. The model assumes that borax dissolution is controlled by the physical mass transfer and takes into account that the solution physical properties and vessel hydrodynamics vary during dissolution. It has been develped on the basis of the fundamental mass transfer principles and doesnot
contain fitting parameters. The model accuracy has been judged in comparison with the experimetal results and it was found to predict the effects of variations in the experimental conditions, particularly at stirrer speeds close to the suspension condition.
