Powerline communication(PLC) is one of the latest progressive technology in the field of communication. It has many advantages if it is commonly used in life because it uses powerline as communication media : no new wire, reduced construction cost, easy management and repair, and the like. However it is not exactly reliable when it’s used in long-distance network, especially power distribution network. Therefore, PLC need to be complemented with other existing technologies, which will be helpful to construct reliable, flexible, and extensible communication system for the power distribution network. In this paper, we propose a very reliable and flexible communication system consisted of high/lowspeed PLC, TRS, satellite, optic fiber, and many other communication technologies.
