The thermodynamic behaviors of NADDBS surfactant adsorption on the surface of multiwall carbon nanotube (MWNT) are studied, which indicate to understand their surface chemical characteristics. Also, the dispersion route for dispersing the MWNT in aqueous solutions by means of surfactant were studied through measuring the surface tension between surfactant molecules and multi-wall carbon nanotubes. We used the simple way to soluble the MWNT to aqueous solution via surface charge measurement and the study of equilibrium adsorption of surfactant molecules on the surface of MWNT and also by determination of contact angle between the water and MWNT in the presence of surfactant molecules.
