چکیده:

Dispersion of carbon nanotubes(CNTs) is a challenging task for their utilization in nanoscale device applications. This study reports a comparative analysis on dispersion of multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) in ethyl alcohol with four surfactants- Poly vinyl poly pyrrolidon(PVP), Poly ethylene glycol 6000(PEG-6000), triton X- 100 and N-cethyl pyridinium bromide(CTAB). Among the four surfactants, PVP and CTAB provide maximum and minimum dispersion respectively. Dispersion of MWNTs has been characterized with UV-vis spectroscopy and turbidity test. Spin coating technique was used to apply uniform films of MWNTs to flat alumina substrate.
