چکیده:

The effect of electric filed on T-xy diagram for ethanol-water system was investigated experimentally. Experiments were carried out in an experimental set up constructed for measuring temperature and sampling the vapor and liquid at equilibrium. Results showed that electric field had a considerable effect on T-xy diagram for water-ethanol system. At a set temperature, boiling liquid and condensing vapor under electric field
had concentrations different from what obtained without electric field. T-xy diagram was measured at different electric fields. The greatest vapor sample purification was observed under 15KV which led to a 7.4% increase in purity in a definite range of temperatures. It is speculated that electric field may affect the azoetrope point in ethanol-water system.
