چکیده:

The competitive success of an organization relies on the efficiency of the entire supply chain. Successful SCM requires a carefully defined approach to test and analyze the performance of the chain. Distributed Supply Chain (DSC) Simulation is an appropriate means to perform what-if analysis on supply chains to replicate the behaviors of complex systems. The Generic Runtime Infrastructure for Distributed Simulation (GRIDS) is a lightweight component-based runtime infrastructure with extensible features and package interfaces. In addition to the introduction of DSC Simulation and the GRIDS, we have a discussion on an interesting manufacturing case study: “Automobile Manufacture Supply Chain Model”. Studying this up-to-date model will be beneficial to manufacturing and industrial engineers interested in the manufacturing supply chain.
