چکیده:

In this study, the drying kinetics and thermal properties of three latexes (pure acrylic polymer latex(MP 36), styrene-acrylic copolymer latex (MS 28) and PVA latex ) have been compared. For Thermal investigation the Thermal Gravimetric/Differential Thermal Analysis (TG/DTA) method
has been used. The results indicate that all the samples have approximately the same degradation temperature like expandable polystyrene (EPS) and styrene-methylmetacrylate (St-MMA) lost foams. Diagrams of drying process of latexes show three different stages. The results show that drying time has an inverse relation with temperature. In fact drying time decreases with increasing of the temperature. The latexes have different cumulative water loss because of different water diffusion coefficients.
