چکیده:

Objective: This study was carried out to determine the clinoptilolite efficiency to prevent of mortality in Rainbow trout by the total ammonia lethal concentration.
Method and Materials: The fish weight were 9.5-21 grams that exposed to four different concentrations (10, 15, 20, 25 mg/l) of total ammonia. A group of fish (13fish) considered as control. Under stable condition, the lethal concentration of total ammonia was 25mg/l during 24 hours. In the lethal concentration of total ammonia different amount of 2, 5, 10, 13, 15 g/l zeolite were used. Samples for histopathological examination were taken from gill,liver and kidneys.
Results and Conclusion: Application of 15 g/l zeolite could be prevented the mortality. Histopathological findings showed that major lesion were hemorrhage, heperamia, and hyperplasia and epithalial cells necrosis in gill fillament. Degenerated tubules of kidney, expansion of Bowman’s capsule and hepatocytes necrosis were observed.
