چکیده:

In this work, kinetics of methane hydrate formation and stability in the presence of acetone as a thermodynamic promoter and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) as a kinetic promoter have been studied. Results show that both the induction time and initial rate of formation are increased in the presence of acetone and mixture of acetone and SDS. At low pressures and temperatures below the ice point (273.15 K) the self-preservation is decreased in the presence of acetone and mixture of acetone and SDS. Also presence of acetone and SDS can increase the storage capacity of methane hydrate.
