In this paper, effect of the nonlinearity of load and dynamics of generators on the voltage stability are investigated. For the purpose of analysis, static and dynamic techniques are used. In this study, power flow solution is used to obtain the stability limit with various load models. Time domain simulation is applied to study voltage stability following a disturbance. For the time domain simulation, the effect of generator voltage regulators and nonlinearity of loads on voltage stability are analysed and a comparative study is also performed with the conventional linear increase of loads and its effects on voltage stability.
