چکیده:

Synthesis of nano-crystalline Cadmium sulfide with crystallite size less than 20 nm were prepared by the sol-gel method using the Cd(NO3)2 , Cd(CH3COO)2 , methyltrietoxysilane (MTEOS) and mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane, (MPTMS), as raw materials and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The average diameter of CdS particles in the nano-composite materials can be controlled by the cadmium concentration and thermally treatment. The result indicates that the formation and the stability of the cadmium sulfide phases are strongly affected by the precursors used as the cadmium sources
