چکیده:

Tungsten Carbide-Cobalt hard materials (WC-Co) are widely used for a variety of machining, cutting, drilling and other applications [1]. The decrease of grain size of tungsten carbide to nanometer scale increases the strength and toughness simultaneously [2]. Certain carbides such as TaC, VC, Cr3C2 and TiC are often added to inhibit grain growth during sintering [3]. The final microstructure, in turn, depends on the type of sintering process adopted and the sintering parameters such as temperature, time, pressure and atmosphere [4]. In this study, the influence of a small amount of TaC and VC on structural and mechanical properties of sintered samples have been investigated
