چکیده:

In this work, the effect of tray efficiency values, on the predicted dynamic behavior of the column was investigated. A rigorous model is presented for dynamic simulation of tray columns, which uses mass and energy balances together with a proper hydraulic equation. The efficiency of trays was estimated with applying mass transfer correlations. The calculated efficiencies based on the Murphree efficiency concept affects the dynamic computations. The role of liquid entrainment in material and energy balances as well as efficiency correlation was also investigated.
