Species of Anthurium genus is one of the most important ornamental plants that is used as cut flowers and potted plants. Effects of different growth regulators on the somatic embryogenesis of Anthurium andreanum were studied in this experiment. Segments of leaves were strilized with 3% NaCLO for 30 minute followed by rinsing with distilled autoclaved water for three times, cut into 1×۱ sections and then used for culture studies. Embryogenesis was induced with using MS medium supplemented with 2,4-D at 4 levels (1-4) mg/l-I and kinetin at 3 levels (0.33-1) mg.l. The best embryogenesis was obtained on MS medium supplemented 0.33mg/l Kin and 3 mg/l 2,4-D and ratio of 2,4-D: Kin with 2:1, 3:1 showed the best embryo formation. Coversion and maturation of embryos occurred on the same based media containing 2% sucroseع ۱% glucsoe, 0/2 mg/l BA and 0.18% Gelrine under 16h photoperiod.
