Mixing by injection of a fluid into a tank is one of the fundamental methods of mixing in chemical industries. In this paper, important parameters in a Jet Mixer were investigated experimentally and numerically. The results show that by increasing of jet flow rate mixing time (the time which is required for 95% of complete mixing) decreases. Also for a constant and known amount of flow rate, reducing nozzle diameter leads to reduction of mixing time. For various amounts of flow rates, reduction trend of mixing time by reduction of nozzle diameter differs than each other. In both two mentioned cases, the factor which leads to reduction of mixing time is nothing else jet Reynolds numbers, which is increased. Also results show that, mixing time significantly depends on angel injection of the jet. As a result, 10o and 45o (in injection from center of sill of cylindrical tank with the shape factor (h/d) of one) have the best mixing times. But although 20o and 30o have the longest jet lengths in comparison to other angels, does not cause to the short mixing times. This result disagrees with the results of some of previous researchers which believed that mixing time decreases with the increasing of jet length.
