چکیده:

Objective: Anti fungal agents are essential for maintenance of healthy stock of fish and their eggs in intensive aquaculture operation. Various material such as formalin, betadin, NaCl and malachite green are fungicide for use in fish culture. We evaluated the efficacy of these fungicides for controlling fungal infections on angelfish eggs. Our objective was to compare short term bath effect of formalin, malachite green and sodium chloride and longterm bath of Methylen blue on Fungal invasion and fry survival of angel fish (Pterophylum scalare).
Method & Materials: Group of angel fish eggs were treated in special tanks with formalin, Betadin as Active iodid, Sodium chloride and malachite
for 15 min, Betadin, 100 mg/lit for 10 min, sodium chloride; 25 gr/lit for 30 min and malachite green; 2 mg/lit for one hour and long term bath of methylen blue at content ration of 5 mg/lit until eggs hatched. In this study we had 6 treatments and three replicates. Our control Treatment had no fungicide.
Results & Conclusion: The obtioned results showed that there was significant difference between the hatch rates of all treated group and control one (P<0.05). Maximum hatch rate of %96 was obtained in group treated with Methylen blue. While minimum hatch rate of 1.36% was found in fish treated with NaCl. Also Maximum fry survival percentage obtained in group treated with malachite green (95.07%) and minimum was obtained with NaCl (2.1%). Therefore, in ornamental fish culture it is recommended to use formalin at concentration of 1:600 for 15 min in this area. Negative mutation is the main reason of fry survival Reduction in long term bath of Methylen blue.
