چکیده:

Electro absorption process and quadratic electro-optic effect associated with intersubband transition in a two dimensional flat elliptic quantum dot are theoretically investigated, using the compact-density matrix formalism and an iterative method. In this regard, the effects of the size of the dot and ellipticity constant on these quantities are investigated. Our results indicate that, not only the cross-section area, but also the ellipticity constant has a great influence on the electro absorption process and quadratic electro-optic effect.
