چکیده:

In this present work, an attempt is made to improve the SnO2 sensor performance with adding MoO3 for detecting of CO gas. SnO2 nanoparticles, Mo/SnO2 nanoparticles, Mo/SnO2 nanorods and , Mo/SnO2 nanotubes were prepared using hydrothermal method. Thick film samples were tested for CO in the concentration of 1000 ppm in ambient air. The result showed that the sensitivity increases with doping of MoO3. However, only a very few works have been devoted to obtain a morphological and structural characterization of the MoO3 doped-SnO2 system in order to justify the modified sensing characteristics. Furthermore we synthesized two different morphological structure of MoO3 doped-SnO2. The sensing behaviour of these samples showed that the form of nanorods increases the sensitivity to CO more remarkable. It seems that the high sensitivity is due to the increasing of surface of the SnO2 nanorod
