چکیده:

Different epoxy-Polypyrrole-MMT nanocomposites have been prepared. The corrosion behavior of coating obtained in different percent of Ppy and MMT clay in epoxy have studied by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) in an exposed 3.5% NaCl solution for 30 days. The result have shown that the optimum formula for the composite is 10 wt% MMT in Ppy. EIS data shown that the corrosion resistance of epoxy/Ppy-MMT (epM) is more than the free nanoclay epoxy coating. Comparison of anticorrosive behaviour of epM with epoxy (e), epoxy/Ppy (ep) and epoxy/MMT (eM) have shown that the resistance corrosion of epM is high. It is due to dispersing silicate nanolayers of clay in the Ppy matrix to increase the tortousity of the diffusion pathway of oxygen and water.
