Many companies in all industries around the world are implementing RFID pilot programs and there are even more companies that are already using this technology. The approach of their implementation is to evaluate items either assembled or used by consumers use separately. The working plan of this paper includes a simple basic list of tasks and deliverables and a prototype in Automotive Industry. Investigation and data collections were done based on the case studies from companies who have worked, studied, or implemented the new technology, RFID.
This research is to provide information and insights to the technological and business communities in Iran, and to help them to understand the potential size of this rapidly growing technology in the world markets; even though RFID has not been widely adopted due to expensive implementation costs and the lack of well organized standards. Industry leaders are combining their effort to create single known standards, which will work for all industries worldwide. Findings on this paper will provide a set of data to be used when preparing business plan toward a product development and create solutions for the marketplace. With the emphasis, that these findings should not be used as the only source of information for important decision-making.
