Since in cold forging processes, dies are subject to cyclic loading, failure of the dies duo to fatigue is an important issue that should be considered. This paper is devoted to fatigue failure and life assessment of a cold forging die. A finite element package is utilized in order to simulate the forging process and a stressbased analysis is carried out to compute the values of stresses in the die. Consequently, the results of FEA are applied to approximate the number of cycles that the forging die can be used without being failed.
