چکیده:

Offshore accidents are the most important problems that should be considered in design, construction, and operation of these marine structures. Because of some accidents such as fire, hurricane, war, etc big amount of budget sank to the deep and in some cases may cause environmental and pollution problems as well. From 1970 historical data of these accidents excluding war are gathered in the Worldwide Offshore Accidental Data bank (WOAD) that is used in this research work appropriately [1]. Offshore structure of the fixed type platform, named jacket, located in the Persian Gulf for oil production, called Forozan, is considered here. In this research fire on the main top deck is the main source of accident, while wind is blowing and waves are present. The jacket is modeled in ANSYS and thermal stresses and strains due to these effects are evaluated to prevent collapses and damages of the structure. Finite element results will show weak structural points in the jacket needed to be strengthened for long life operation.
